Chengdu, Day 2

The first day in Chengdu is surely a cultural shock for most of the other students including myself. From the temperature to the people, everything is a far cry from what I have been living with back in Singapore. Although not knowing much of the people going on the trip, I believe we have all slowly grown to be closer to one other by simply living near one another. I was very pleased to see a halal stall near our dorms, which means that I won't have to be living off instant noodles for the next 5 weeks. My mini tour around the school also greatly enlightened me regarding the living conditions here, which really puts my mind at ease regarding rumours from previous batches. I will surely try to get to know the other China students to gain more out of my trip.
